Beginning his musical career at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music eight year old Bill Conley was classically trained on piano by the acclaimed classical pianist and instructor Adelaide Banaszynski. At age twelve Bill turned his sites to popular music and live performance through rock and roll bands. In the era of Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones and the Beatles, he played keyboards with his first group MHB (Mark, Howie and Bill) Experience….which included the late Howie Epstein, bassist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. MHB Experience-- a group of 12 year old boys, enjoyed local success occasionally opening for regional favorites like The Skunks and Tony's Tigers, etc.
The seventies and eighties were filled with keyboard work for the various musical/band ventures when, in 1989, Bill helped develop the band “Five Guys with Day Jobs”, a variety group regularly playing venues such as Bastille Days, Summerfest, and many other local events. In 1995, he joined the perennial festival favorite, Barry's Truckers. This oldies (50's, 60's, and 70's) group with a reputation for its stage antics and professional performances headlined at Summerfest's Pabst (Harley Davidson), Old Style (Briggs and Stratton) stages and has played virtually every large festival in the area.
While Real Estate construction and management is Bill's full time employment, music and performing still occupies many weekend nights. After many years playing keyboards and performing live, Bill has developed a keen ear for quality and a sharp eye for talent.
